The Start menu or Start screen provides a list of all programs installed on a computer that are available for use. For more details, select your version of Windows in the list below and review the instructions.
To view a list of installed programs, you can use the classic Programs and Features applet in Control Panel, which is available in all Windows versions. Press Win+R and execute the appwiz.cpl command in the Run dialogue box to open this applet. The list shows the program name, publisher, size, installation date, and version.
Access Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. Press Windows + R, type control panel, and press Enter to open Control Panel on Windows 10/11. Click Programs -> Programs and Features to access the Add or Remove Programs feature.
Open the Control Panel to get to the old Add or Remove Programs window, which lists only the programs (or desktop apps) installed on your computer or device. Take these steps to get to the Control Panel if you’re using Windows 10, or follow these instructions to open it in Windows 11.
